Truth is that nowadays, it's very hard to avoid 'the cloud' unless you run your own platform for self-hosting, like a NAS or any other server-type device. Well, I don't know about you, but that is not something I am willing to do. So it is up to you to trust a 3rd party provider to guard all your passwords and other sensitive information on their end. The reason for this is that most other password managers out there are commercial solutions, and the 'worse' part is, that they are out there in the 'cloud'.
